8 is not enough!

The group is complete! We are complete with all of 9 of us fitting in the flat and we are supposed to be up for Italy in 2 hours. We've had a hectic schedule trying to see all the sights.

I'll try and have more detail when we come back, but for now, I refer you to the link on the right for Bri's updates!

Highlight so far: London Eye with everyone!

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Dear Blog,

Happy Birthday. It's hard to believe you are already 2 years old! I appreciate all you've done for me and you've been so good in being such a good outlet in capturing some of my experiences so far since my move. I apologise if the last year I haven't been as good in keeping you up to date as much as I should. But to make it up to you I'll try to write as much as I can in the next few weeks to celebrate the 2 years since your inception.

Why? Well, most of my uni friends are going to be visiting! Somehow I'm going to try to fit 8 people in this tiny flat. Any time you get 9 friends together its bound to get pretty crazy. Especially if it involves traveling to other countries!

Anyway, the first stop is London. Unfortunately the weather doesn't look to good for the next few days. I guess that's typical!

I'll try my best to update the visit and our trips as much as I can. So stay tuned.

Happy 2nd Birthday!

Snog on Stage

I can honestly say that the two nights of impro performances land on my short list of memorable times so far in London.

I think I've finally found a groove with a nice circle of people to hang out with. We'll see how long it lasts.

As far as the Maestro format goes, I didn't finish as one of the top four, but to be fair, I had some really tough scenes.

Both nights I ended up with a scene where I had to only speak in "3 word" sentences! Its pretty hard to do, and the audience loves when you struggle. Its amazing what you can come up with that's for sure!

The best scene I took part in was when a fellow player decided to snog me on stage unexepectedly! Twice! It was hilarious!

In any case, after the second performance, we had a night out, celebrated with drinks, had some champagne, and ate some late night curry!

We have a good core group, so hopefully I'll see more of them in the next term!

Showtime!

My heart is beating really fast even though I don't go on stage with my fellow players until 2 hours from now. I haven't been "officially" on stage for ages.. not since the good ol' PSA Fashion Shows where I'd emcee and "improv" my lines as much as I will tonight. We'll see how this "maestro" format will fare. Apparently through crowd participation there will be one "impro" player standing. Will I get luck of the draw? Who knows. All I know is that the next week will be pretty crazy.. 2 shows, one last impro class, a bunch of leaving drinks, and one week from now, a whole mess of people trying to fit in my flat. Just going to take it one day at a time I guess.

So for today, I just have to get these butterflies out of my stomach!! ARGH!!

Hostel

In the next 3 weeks, I'm going to have 12 different people staying in my place at different times of the week. Unbelievable.

Oh Flat 14, I miss you so. You were so big and spacious, but we were not meant to be.. until now.
